Alba Collaborative

Youth ages 9-17 in crisis and/or in need of a safe place to stay can call or drop in at the Alba Collaborative (located at the New Avenues for Youth Opportunity Center) 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Emergency shelter for youth ages 9-17, casemanagement, mentorship and family mediation. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Community Transition School

East Multnomah County Drop-In

Drop-In day services including meals and showers, case management and wraparound services for youth ages 16-24, including referrals for housing, education, and employment.

Home Plate Youth Services

Access Center offers screenings 365 days a year for 16-24 year old’s experiencing homelessness. Call 8am-6pm to make an appointment with a screener. Youth can also show up at Porch Light (open every night of the year 8:45pm-8:45am) for a bed, or go to the day programs at New Avenues for Youth or Outside In for help connecting to a screener.

Northwest Regional Education Service District

Outside In - Youth Program

Youth ages 16-24 experiencing homelessness can call the Access Center for a screening into the Homeless Youth Continuum from 9am – 5pm. daily or show up at Porch Light Shelter after 8:45pm for a shelter bed.

Portland Youth Builders

Education, vocational training, counseling, career development and long term support. Helps students 17-24 complete high school and/or learn a trade. Safe Place for Youth

Second Home

Second Home connects volunteer host homes with unaccompanied high school students 16 and older experiencing homelessness. Support for the participants comes from both the Second Home staff and from the community. Call for more information or talk to school district homeless liaison for referrals. Outreach, support and housing with a faith-based approach. Housing for youth ages 18-24, including those who are pregnant or parenting. Also run Braking Cycles, a coffee and bike shop providing apprenticeship and job skills. Call for support.
