Spectrum of shelter opportunities for those experiencing houselessness in the Portland Metro area. Including low-barrier congregate, clean & sober, motels, villages and housing retention support. All shelters have a Veteran-preference. Shelters provide meal services, showers and hygiene care, support services, case management and housing navigation.Â
The Northeast 82nd Ave Voluntary Isolation Motel, operated by Do Good Multnomah, offers medical isolation rooms for up to two weeks for those experiencing contagious illness or seeking respite care. Breakfast and dinner are served daily. Couples are welcome, as well as one pet per person.
Provides a small shelter program and case management for families with children ages 0-18 and pregnant women. Family advocate assigned to each family works with them to make a tailored plan for permanent housing. Must be clean and sober.Â

Shelter for youth ages 16-24 experiencing homelessness. Open every night of the year from 8:45pm until 8:45am. Youth may self-refer at the door anytime in the night between 9pm-5am. Beds are first come, first served.
Provides safe, confidential emergency shelter and domestic violence crisis hotline. Services for shelter residents include advocacy, case management and support groups.

Emergency shelter for youth ages 9-17, case management, mentorship and family mediation. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Shelter for 17 homeless families with children. Open every day of the year, 24 hours a day. Meals, showers, laundry, computers, internet and rapid re-housing support in addition to family recreation spaces and child play areas. The shelter is a calm and peaceful environment. Families must have children under age 18 in their care to qualify and must be experiencing homelessness. To access this shelter program, call 211 to be put in the pool for the Homeless Family System.
Village-style tiny homes and limited RV parking with shared restrooms, showers, laundry and at least one meal a day provided. Include case management with wraparound behavioral and mental health services. Menlo, Reedway, Multnomah, Clinton Triangle, N. Portland, SW Naito (for LGBTQIA2S+ individuals), NE Weidler (priority for BIPOC individuals) can only be access by referral. For self-referral, call 311 and request an outreach worker.
Free overnight emergency shelter for men. Open space provided nightly, as available. Spaces are maintained for guests who return nightly. Showers and clothing provided daily from 2-4 pm, to those staying in the shelter. Requests for available space can be made from 8am-4:30pm. All requests are randomized, and selections are announced by 5pm. Check-in at 8pm nightly.
Safe Rest Villages, culturally-specific village-model sheltering (LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities) and congregate sheltering services. Showers, restrooms and daily meals to program participants. Onsite case management and mental health services available. Maximum of 2 pets per person. See web site for more information.
